A Camcorder. It’s a little boring as a Valentines idea for him isn’t it?

No, I disagree.

A camcorder makes a wonderful Valentines idea for him in my view. Not boring at all. It’s a way for him, and you, to record all those extra special times that matter to you both.

Maybe it’s the kids as they grow up, or things you both do together, holidays, or anything else that’s extra special to you both.

That’s a romantic gift in my view. A gift that allows you both to record those special moments in his, and your, life.

There’s only one problem. A camcorder can be bulky, irritating to use and annoying to carry. It gets in the way of what you’re doing.

No longer. It’s now possible to get camcorders that are very small. Of course everyone knows the small recorders you get on your cell phone. Problem is the quality isn’t what you want and the memory isn’t either.

So do men really like chocolates for Valentines Day?

I wrote recently about chocolates as a fine gift for a man on Valentines Day. And I was asked by a reader if chocolates were REALLY a good gift for a man. Obviously she doesn’t know many men who like chocolate, or else she hasn’t asked them if they do.

Absolutely men love chocolate. And so if they do then chocolates make a good gift. Whether it’s a Valentines gift, or birthday gift or Christmas or just an “I love you” gift, don’t make the mistake of discounting chocolates as a great gift for him.

“Amen brothah! Chocolate is a great gift for anyone. I also read a statistic recently that while women fess up to being chocoholics far more than men, 2/3 of the chocolate women buy to give away or share. Men almost always eat the chocolate they purchase. True story.”

How to give him a fine chocolate Valentines gift, and be socially conscious at the same time.

There seems to be an impression that chocolate is only a gift given to women. Nothing could be further from the truth. Chocolate makes a fine Valentines gift for men. Of course there are men who don’t like chocolate, (true, I met one once) and there are women who don’t like chocolate (though I don’t think I’ve met one yet!)

I just love chocolate, and I love getting great chocolate as a gift, (along with fudge, toffee, cake etc)

Little messages can be fun, tell him something you want to tell him, and a cheap and effective way to have a great Valentines Day.

Sometimes you need to put a little effort into a Valentines Day. Sometimes it’s not enough to just find a gift, package it up, and give it to him.

Here’s a cheap and effective way to have a wonderful Valentines Day. It’s free in fact. And if you do this you should have a wonderful day.

Send him secret messages. For example you might put a special morning message in his car for him to find when he gets in to go to work.

Maybe get a workmate to put one on his desk, or perhaps in a drawer, or some other place at work he might find it.

Combine it with a message in a bottle if you wish, that’s also a very effective way of conveying a Valentines Day message to him. A message in a bottle is a romantic and successful Valentines Day gift. Think of a creative place to put his message in a bottle for him to find during the day.

Perhaps put one in his lunch, or briefcase, or some other place you know he’ll find it. Shoes, socks, coat, there’s so many possibilities.

And you can be as inventive as you wish with your messages. Say anything you want. Perhaps make it a progression of messages, each one leading on to the next.

If you know he’ll find them in order then you can lead him to the end of the day with a final message about a Valentines gift that he will get when he gets home.

I’ll bet he won’t be late home that day.
