Of course a wedding is the most common anniversary, and there is a formal and traditional list for selecting wedding anniversary gifts, with traditional and modern gift themes.

For example the traditional first wedding anniversary gift theme is paper, the modern theme is clock.

So if you’re new to this then you decide what gift you are getting according to the list, and the theme. So if it’s your first wedding anniversary and you like the modern theme you buy a clock themed gift.

Personally I think that’s all a little old fashioned, but if anniversary gifts by year appeals to you then that’s great. It just doesn’t appeal to me.

I think mens jewelry, particularly a great looking and modern themed mens anniversary ring makes a great gift for him on your wedding anniversary. There are some stunning rings around for men, both for weddings and anniversaries. An anniversary ring is a great idea and is now quite a cool gift.

Of course you can’t give him a ring every year. He can’t wear them all. However if he doesn’t have a ring now then why not consider an anniversary ring for your first wedding anniversary gift for him?

If you haven’t looked at mens jewelry and in particular mens wedding and anniversary rings then you need to. They are so much better than they were a few years ago. So you may need to establish first how your man feels about wearing an anniversary ring. But if he likes the idea I wouldn’t hesitate to seriously consider a ring as a great anniversary gift. Either for your first anniversary or your fiftieth, it doesn’t matter.

And personally I’d consider getting his anniversary ring engraved with a special anniversary message. It can’t be long, but can be special.
