Is your man a motorcyclist? Does he love long rides to unknown places? Does he get lost sometimes?

It’s pretty common. Navigating, especially for a motorcyclist, isn’t always easy when he’s going somewhere he hasn’t been before. It’s not like a car where he can ask his passenger to navigate for him.
motorcycle gps

Of course he can always stop, get off his bike, pull out the map and have a look. Time consuming but works well, till it’s raining.

Have you considered a gift for him to help with all this? How about a motorcycle GPS system?

They aren’t cheap, but for well under $1000 he can have a motorcycle GPS that is specifically designed for motorcycle use. It comes with a mount specifically designed for mounting on a bike, and is fully waterproof and vibration resistant.

It will both show him, and tell him, via wireless bluetooth technology direct to an earpiece in his helmet, exactly where he is going and how to get to where he wants to go. Every step of the way it will give him exact directions so he knows where and when to turn.

Preplan a route and input it into his GPS and it will take him there, or navigate on the fly. Want to go via fuel stops, or accomodation stops, or via various points of interest along the way? It will do it all using preloaded maps of the whole of North America.

Perhaps he’d like to listen to some music along the way? Load it into his motorcycle GPS unit and he can listen all he likes. Maybe take some photos and show them to his friends. His GPS will do that too.

Download it all to his computer at the end of the ride and keep the route for the next time, or send it to friends to review or keep, it’s all possible, and much much more.

And if he’s a car driver as well he can mount his GPS unit in his car and use it the same way when he’s driving.

Motorcycle GPS has come a long way since the days when you got a hand held unit that told you a latitude and a longitude. Modern mapping software is highly effective, and when combined with Global Positioning System Technology, becomes the best and most sought after navigation system in history. Read more

Now here’s an adventure gift that I would kill for. Be a fighter pilot for a day.

I was watching a documentary the other day about the Hornet, and they showed some extraordinary footage of some simulated combat, extremely fast and extremely low. I was so jealous that some men get to do these things, and get paid for it, and it isn’t me.

I know there are some extraordinary adventure gifts available, and headed on over to Signature Days, one of my favorite adventure gift companies, to have a look.

There it was. Be a fighter pilot for a day and experience simulated combat. Wow would I like to do that.

It’s not cheap, but if he’s the type to enjoy it and you’re the type to afford it then it’s a gift he’ll never forget.

There’s some photos of it to give you the idea. Not every man would kill to do this, but I would, and many others would. This is an [tag-tec]adventure gift[/tag-tec] at it’s finest
Here’s a short excerpt from their website. Guys, read it and weep.

A while ago I suggested a wonderful gift of luxury for a man. Not cheap by any means, but then what luxury gift is cheap?

It’s a gift of a Zero-G ride.

Now it’s perfectly possible for anyone to get a Zero-G experience in the same way as they train the astronauts. At a price.

If you’d like to read my article you can do so here.

I’ve found a video showing what it’s like, so you can actually see what a Zero-G ride is all about. Looks like a heap of fun to me, shame I can’t afford it, I’d just love to give it a go.

Here’s the video, it really gets my juices gong, I’d just LOVE to do this.

Last year my wife organized a wonderful gift for me. Not just for me, but for herself and for our kids. One for the whole family. She’s a teacher and she organised a teacher exchange for us. To China. We spent 3 months living in a school in Taizhou in China, both of us teaching English to the students there.

Adventure gift for a manWe didn’t do it for the money, the money was terrible and we bore a lot of the costs ourselves. We did it for the experience, and for the opportunity to be a part of something that helped out some other people less fortunate than ourselves.

And it was wonderful. Despite the fact that financially we would have been far better off staying at home I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. To hell with the money sometimes.

So I’m going to suggest a very unusual adventure and luxury gift for a man here, one that can often cost quite a deal of money, but one which will give him the experience of a lifetime and help out along the way. And if you, and your family if you have kids, go along, you will all be a part of it.

It’s an adventure holiday with a difference. A holiday in a place you may never have thought of, doing something you would probably never have heard of.

It’s an Eco Holiday. An adventure holiday for a man who is extremely aware of his impact on his environment and would like to do something about it. A holiday that gives back – to the environment.

Or for that matter just a fantastic holiday idea with a difference.

Men can be adrenalin junkies and often a great gift for a man is a gift that caters to his love of adrenalin. If you’re looking for unique gifts for men a gift of adrenalin may well qualify.

Now of course this doesn’t apply to all men, and so you need to know your man before you consider giving him a gift that might leave him quivering in his boots. Some men like to quiver. Some don’t.

unique gifts for menBut if you think your man is the quivering type then why not consider an adventure gift for him. Just make sure you’re right about the quivering!!

There are of course different levels of adventure gifts for men available. So you can determine the quiver level. Do you think he’d go for the full terrifying or just the mildly scary?

It’s your choice of course, but there is quite a wide range of choice. There are a bunch of companies offering adventure gifts for men – and women – of all descriptions. Why not take him parachuting? That would probably rate as a full terrifying. I can attest to that having done a few jumps, but I just loved it.

Or else you could opt for something more sedate, like tank driving!

Not as scary as jumping out of a plane, but it would still get the juices flowing. There would be so many men who would just love to spend a day driving a tank. It’s certainly a pretty unique mens gift.
