What It Takes To Create A Truly Great Gift
A couple of days ago I wrote an article entitled “The Finest Gift For A Man I’ve Ever Seen. But Did He Get It?
In that article I wrote that for some people creating a gift was sometimes a journey, far more than just finding something great and buying it and giving it to someone.
That for some people creating a really great gift takes some of yourself. It takes passion and commitment and effort. And the result is sometimes a gift that surpasses anything the recipient could have ever asked for.
This is another example.
It’s about a bagger in a store. And a gift he creates for his customers. Not particularly about a gift for men, it’s a gift for anyone who lines up in his line.
But I was so touched by the video that I had to put it here anyway. Even if it isn’t specifically about a gift for a man.
Because it shows the type of effort required to make a really wonderful gift, for anyone. The bagger didn’t need to do what he did, but he did it anyway. And the result far surpassed what anyone would have expected.
Because of the effort he put into it.
I said in my previous article that for 99% of people it’s fine to get out there, find a great gift, buy it, wrap it and give it to someone as a nice gift. And it is.
But for 1% it’s not enough, it takes more effort than that to produce something of real and lasting value.
This is the second example of that 1% that I have seen in 2 days.
It finishes with the line “Great service comes from the heart”. It could equally be “a truly great gift comes from the heart”.
