Yesterday I suggested that GPS devices would be hot this Christmas.Today I continue the series. Hot Christmas gifts for 2007 suggestion number 2. iPod Nanos.
The iPod has taken the listening and now viewing world by storm. Apple has taken it’s successful business in computers and put it’s technical electronic expertise to good use making the iPod the worlds most popular music listening device. And soon to be one of the worlds most popular Christmas presents this year as I see it.
And for good reason. Apple keep adding improvements to their already wildly popular product to enhance it’s functionality.
They are going to use up a lot of Christmas wrapping paper this year.
But whilst the music is great it’s well, not new. Portable music players aren’t new and although improvements are great it’s just – improvements.
It’s the ability to be able to do things like sync movies to the iPod that excites me. Watch up to 5 hours of movies. That’s 2 or 3 movies back to back. And watch them on Apple’s best ever display that’s 65% brighter than before. Any time he’s stuck for something to do he can pull out his Nano and watch a movie!
Their click wheel allows you to easily and quickly browse your, or his, music by album cover and then quickly flip it over to view all the tracks. It’s a simple matter to explore music by playlist, artist, album, song, genre, composer and a lot more. It’s fast and comfortable to use and I love it.Or one of his favorite TV shows. He can head on over to iTunes for movies, TV shows, podcasts and video poscasts, games, or sync photos from his computer and view slideshows. It’s really just a tiny computer. 3 hour recharge.
For any man who’s a music or video or photo or podcast fan or more, it makes a fantastic gift idea for Christmas. Or if he has one already and you don’t why not drop a hint that you want one!
