What Do You Buy For The Guy With A Video iPod?

Video iPods are a fantastic new iPod. If he’s busy, out and about and can’t be at home as often as he wants he can still watch his favorite TV, video, movies and podcasts.

A portable video device like the Apple iPod Classic has an enormous amount of capacity to store his video. Up to 200 hours of video, depending on the model, is a lot of video. If he’s out with time to spare he can certainly satisfy his need to keep up with the latest in video and TV.

It’s a great device, it works well and does exactly what he wants it to do, with one small exception, the screen size. It’s extremely frustrating to try and watch a movie on a screen like a postage stamp. Well not quite, but it’s pretty small.

Of course tiny is what the iPod is all about, if it was big then it wouldn’t be of much use. But tiny doesn’t make for great screen viewing. 2 1/2 inches isn’t exactly huge. Adequate, but not huge.

And if his birthday is coming, or Christmas, then why not buy him a gift that changes all that? A video iPod accessory that turns his video viewing experience upside down.

iPod video goggles. These are goggles that plug right into his video iPod and give him a virtual 24 inch screen to view his videos on. No extra power required, they run right off the iPod batteries, and don’t need much power, having almost no effect on run time for the movie, podcast or video.

Compact, small, no bulky devices to carry with it like adaptors, just the goggles. And a nice carry case so it doesn’t get knocked around.

I’ll put the specs here if you’re into that sort of thing, some people want to know.
