I’ve Failed At Halloween Gifts

I have to confess to failure. I write a blog about great gifts for guys. I’m supposed to be finding great mens gifts, and this time I don’t have one to suggest to you.

I’ve just spent the whole afternoon looking for Halloween gifts for men. Not women, not kids, but for men. And I have to confess that after some hours spent I don’t have a whole lot to suggest.

Of course the net is filled with gifts, for men, women, kids, babies, in fact anyone at all. Yet I can’t find great Halloween gifts for men.

Now that’s not because there aren’t any Halloween gifts out there, there’s lots. There’s the costumes, the masks, the party supplies, the Halloween gift baskets. All the usual ho hum gifts that you see every year.

But that’s the problem. You see them every year. I like to pride myself in finding ideas for gifts for men, Halloween or otherwise, that are a little out of the ordinary.

My criteria is pretty simple. I spend hours looking at gifts. If I see one and I immediately think – I want one of those – then I’ll have a second look.

If I’m scrolling down a page of ideas and one catches my eye enough to make me stop, move my cursor to “scroll up” and go up and have a look at it, then I’ve found something that is at least worth investigating a little more.

And I haven’t found anything like that for Halloween gift ideas for men. For kids yes, kids love anything, but I don’t write for them. But no great Halloween gift ideas that a man would love. A gift that’s different, unique, and catches my eye. Something that’s both a great gift and a gift that is special to Halloween. That has some sort of Halloween theme.
So I got to thinking about Halloween. It’s an occasion. A fun occasion. But really most of the fun of Halloween is for kids. After all, once the suspense and intrigue has gone out of it for adults, it loses a little of it’s fun.

Now that’s not to say that there’s no fun for adults in Halloween, there is.

And that’s not to say there’s no opportunity for giving him a great Halloween gift. Not at all. What I think it means is that a great Halloween gift is just a great gift. It’s unlikely that you’ll find much that’s specifically Halloween related, fun, new, unique and also something he’ll love. At least not where I’ve looked.
So I think what it means is that we just need to search for great gift ideas. Period. Any great gift is a good Halloween gift as well, as long as he loves it. It doesn’t really need a Halloween theme at all. Not for an adult.

I always love romantic and sexy gifts, and Halloween is always a great occasion for a romantic or sexy gift idea. It’s an opportunity for you to say something to him. There’s just not a lot of new romantic or [tag-tec]sexy Halloween[/tag-tec] related ideas around.

I’ve written about both romantic and sexy gifts for men and shall continue to do so. There’s lots of great romantic and sexy gifts for men around, any of them will make a fine Halloween gift. Or any other great mens gift for that matter. Whatever works for you both is a great gift idea, you don’t need to stress about it being Halloween related.

And of course this is all entirely subjective, there may be others who come up with all sorts of great things. I just never found any Halloween related idea which lit up my “I want” juices.
