You've Got No Money. His Birthday Is Coming. What Do You Do?

A little short this month but still need to find a nice, but free, gift for him?

Here's some suggestions for a free gift for your man. Each is a lovely suggestion on it's own, all of them combined tell him you love him with maximum effect. And free.

1. Give him a poem.

There's lots of ways to express how you feel about your man, and a poem is one of them. Of course not all men would be receptive to a beautiful poem, but then not all men would be receptive to a brilliant NFL gift either.

A poem can really say something worthwhile. It can often express emotions in a way that is difficult to do in other ways. It is a romantic and beautiful way to say something to your man, so say I love you.

Now of course you could write him a poem yourself. That's ideal, however not all of us are accomplished poets.

If you're not, then there are places to go to get beautiful and romantic poems which you can use for free, and quite legally.

Maybe you could write your poem out by hand and send it to him by mail, the old fashioned way. Or maybe just email it to him at work when he's least expecting it. Or why not make him a romantic dinner at home and have your poem to him in an easy to find place on the table, say under his wine glass?

Either way, particularly if it's completely unexpected, a poem expressing to him how you feel about him is a wonderful way to give him a gift that is totally free, and very successful.

2. Make him something wonderful to eat.

Men are like women. They love eating. And you don't need to head down to the local store to buy him something special to eat.

There is absolutely no reason why you can't make him something wonderful to eat yourself.

If you don't have any ideas then the internet is the place to learn. Anyone can learn to cook wonderful fudge, cookies or any other of thousands of wonderful gourmet treats.

Or perhaps a wonderful new main course, why not a duck meal?

Just take your time, research it on the net and practice. Find a good recipe and try it out on yourself first. It's not hard to do.

3. Give him a hug.

One gift that's so often overlooked, and is also often very successful, is a hug.

It's completely free, no matter how often you do it, and it works a treat. It says I love you as well if not better than most other gifts, and is totally free, no matter how often you give one.

Combine a hug with other gifts. For example you can give him his romantic poem and combine it with a hug at the same time, and why not a kiss for good measure?

4. Do them all.

Give him a huge hug when he comes home and tell him you love him.

Have the table set for a romantic dinner you've made yourself. Candles and low lighting, perhaps some flowers or something aromatic, like incense. Music.

Produce a wonderful meal that you've made yourself. Maybe a special desert, finish with something like home made fudge.

Make sure you have his special poem on hand. Perhaps hand written by you, how about under his wine glass? Or maybe you could read it to him?

This is a beautiful and completely free gift, and men will love it. It costs nothing except for the ingredients for the meal, and you're going to eat anyway aren't you?

All it takes is time and effort on your part. Commitment to ensure that even if you're not flushed with funds at the moment to buy him an expensive gift, you can still find a wonderful way to tell him you love him.

He'll know you can't afford too much, and appreciate the fact that you've still taken the time and effort for him anyway.

I can almost feel you thinking. Romantic meal? There's nothing new in that.

If so you're forgetting what gifts are about. It's not about finding the latest and greatest. The newest or coolest or the most expensive. Gifts aren't a competition to produce the coolest or best gadget.

Giving gifts is about an exchange of love. About making him feel good about himself and feel good about the fact that it's you that loves him.

If you can't afford an expensive gift you can still give him a [tag-tec]free gift[/tag-tec] that's extra special to him. That means just as much or more than an expensive coolest, latest and greatest.

You're giving him a gift of your love, time and effort, just for him.

Give him a free gift he'll remember. Go on, give it a try, you'll be glad you did.
